Overview

One of a kind in the family.

Designed and built by BRM Aero, the Bristell B8M is the only high-wing model in the Bristell line, and the only one built entirely from metal. A cantilever wing with no struts, nose-wheel steering and composite cabin and luggage doors define it. The high-wing layout opens up the panoramic, under-wing visibility that high-wing pilots love, while the 160 HP Rotax 916 iS and a max take-off weight of 1,764 lbs (800 kg) make it a genuinely capable cross-country machine.

About

Built to be seen from.

The B8M flies the way only a high-wing aircraft can. With the wing carried overhead on a clean cantilever and no bracing struts in the way, the view down to the ground stays open in every direction. Lakes, rivers, ridgelines and the runway itself sit right there below you, which is exactly why pilots who love to look out choose a high wing in the first place.

On the ground it is just as easy to live with. A steerable nose wheel and fixed tricycle gear keep taxi and landing simple, the cabin is wide and bright, and the turbocharged 160 HP Rotax 916 iS turns a local sightseeing hop into a genuine cross-country trip. It is a relaxed, honest aircraft built for pilots who fly to see.

Highlights

A different kind of Bristell.

From the strut-free cantilever wing to all-metal construction and a choice of Rotax power, every feature is chosen to give you an open view, easy handling and the range to keep flying.

Cabin

Wide, bright and open.

A 51-inch cabin (130 cm) with composite cabin and luggage doors makes the B8M easy to step into and easy to live in. With the wing overhead and tall side glass all around, the view down to the ground is the best in the family, and every cabin is finished to order.

Choose your materials, colors and trim, then settle in behind a full glass panel with the controls close at hand. Two 44 lb wing lockers and another 33 lb behind the seats add up to 121 lbs (55 kg) of luggage, so a long day in the air, or the long way home, needs no compromise.
