Overview
The model that started it all.
The Bristell Classic is the original aircraft that laid the foundations of the Bristell name. A light, low-wing two-seater built for flight training, glider towing and pure recreational flying, and offered in an HD version with reinforced wing mounts for the most demanding conditions. Its 51-inch cabin (130 cm) remains the widest in its category, and it comes with a choice of four Rotax engines: the 912 ULS, the 912 iS, the 915 iS and the turbocharged 916 iS. It flies as an ultralight in Europe, with German DAEC type certification, and as a Light Sport Aircraft in the United States.
About
Easy to own, ready for anything.
The Classic is the most accessible way into a Bristell, and it flies like one. Settle into the widest cabin in its class, under a panoramic bubble canopy, and the controls answer with the same balanced, forgiving feel that made the design a benchmark. It is an aircraft that builds confidence on your first circuit and keeps rewarding you long after.
That versatility is the point. The same low-wing two-seater trains new pilots, tows gliders and makes an easy weekend tourer, and you tune it to the mission with a choice of four Rotax engines, from the proven 912 ULS to the turbocharged 916 iS. Pick the power that suits how you fly, and the Classic does the rest.
Highlights
Proven where it counts.
From the widest cabin in its class to a bubble canopy and a choice of Rotax power, every detail is chosen to make the Classic easy to fly and easy to own.

The widest cabin in its class
51 inches of shoulder room (130 cm) under a panoramic bubble canopy: comfortable, ergonomic and bright from the first hour.

Bubble canopy
A frameless bubble canopy with sliding side windows for all-round visibility and airflow on the ground.

Built to train
Forgiving, predictable handling makes the Classic an ideal trainer, and a capable glider tug.

Three-blade propeller
A hydraulic constant-speed propeller delivers strong climb and efficient cruise across every engine option.

A choice of Rotax power
Four options — 912 ULS, 912 iS, 915 iS and the turbocharged 916 iS: match the engine to your mission.

Long-wing or HD
Choose the standard wing, or the HD version with reinforced wing mounts for the most demanding conditions.
Interior
Room to fly comfortably.
The Classic pairs the widest cabin in its class with a clean, functional cockpit. Specify analog or full glass, trim it in the materials and colors you choose, and add the avionics your mission calls for.
Build it as a simple, affordable trainer or a fully glass-equipped tourer: the cabin is yours to configure, so you only pay for the equipment your flying actually needs.

Performance
The numbers that matter.
Figures shown with the turbocharged Rotax 916 iS: efficient, repeatable and honest at every weight.
Step up to the 916 iS turbo for 153 KTAS and a 23,000 ft ceiling, or stay with the proven 912 ULS for the lowest running costs. Either way, 595 lbs (270 kg) of useful load keeps two aboard and packed for the trip.
