With an instrument rating, you'll open up a world of opportunities for flying, along with an increased safety margin.Our instrument rating course is designed to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to confidently operate an aircraft in adverse weather conditions using Instrument Flight Rules (IFR). You'll receive comprehensive training in basic attitude instrument flying, navigation, IFR communications, and aircraft systems operations. Additionally, you'll gain insights into weather analysis, flight planning, and the Federal Aviation Regulations relevant to IFR flight.Typically, the instrument rating course spans approximately 40 hours of training. Following successful completion, you'll be required to pass the FAA written test and undergo a check ride conducted by an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner.
